The Christmas Sticker Collection
by Su Box illustrated by Alison Atkins
After hours of fun, the child will have created their very own edition of this title. There are suggestions for the placement of the stickers at the back of the book, but they don’t have to be followed, you can do what you like. The Christmas story is told following the Bible story closely. The illustrations are colourful and attractive, I was itching to peel off the stickers and use them for myself!
This latest edition of an old favourite, will hopefully come fresh to yet another generation of children between 5 and 10 years old. Beautifully illustrated by Tim Jonke and first published in this telling in 1989, it has remained in different formats all these years.
Three trees in the forest dream of what they would like to become when their wood is harvested. One wants to hold treasure, another to be a fine sailing ship and the third wants to stay and grow into the tallest of trees for people to look up to. Each gets their wish but not in the way they thought.
Looking for that special Christmas gift, or perhaps even Advent gift, for your 8 - 12 year olds? Then this book is for you. It not only has an amazing selection of codes and puzzles, that will keep them, and the whole family guessing together, whilst remembering the real meaning of Christmas, but it also contains a good mixture of narrative and background information to help you learn together. If they love puzzling, then they'll love this book.

Another Veggietale as delightful as ever, this time re-telling the story of Saint Nicholas alias Santa Claus and the true meaning of Christmas. Laura Carrot and other young Veggies seem to think Christmas is only about receiving presents, nothing to do with the Christ child and giving to others, Bob puts them right by telling the story of the true Father Christmas. This DVD also has several extras and is promoting the charity Samaritan’s Purse and the Shoebox scheme in the US, but if you go to www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk you will find how you can help in the UK.

‘This is the story of the mice that inspired the writing and singing of the Christmas carol ‘Silent Night’. Publisher
The story is told from the viewpoint of the church mice. Now to a little mouse a church is an excellent playground, but loud organ music was bothersome and had to be stopped!
This is a lovely re-telling of this familiar story. How the organ was silenced and how the parish priest asked the organist to compose a simple tune to fit the words of a poem the priest had written, that could be played with guitar accompaniment instead of the organ.>BR>
The choice of font is just right to set off the attractive illustrations. A lovely book to be brought out year after year.
This is the Nativity story taken from The Beginner’s Bible and produced in slim paperback format. An ideal little present for a young child to help them understand why Christmas is such a very special celebration.
