Produced by CCM Magazine this looks like something that could have been produced by Smash Hits back in the 80's/90's and as most of the songs listed in it are from that time frame that's not so inappropriate. It is a wonderful trip down memory lane and will appeal to the 30 something market that is interested both in worship and in house group resources — not that this is aimed at being a house group resource, but it would make a good one as you could do sessions on the songs and artists with this as a prompt. It is interesting and informative and has a niche market appeal as well as being good reading for fans of Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Rich Mullins and Steven Curtis Chapman who all seem to make a very good showing in the top 100 mentions.

The 100 Word Bible

Writing these reviews has taught me how difficult it is to compress into a few words the sense of a much longer passage. Jonny Griffiths has managed a great feat in packing the message of the Bible into so small a book. If you read his introduction you will see that he is trying to hold your interest from the first page to the last, so this is not an attempt to pre&eacte;cis the whole Bible in book order from Genesis to Revelation, but on each 100 word page to bring an important message from the Bible with a mixture of Old and New Testament stories and teaching. Slip it into your pocket or bag, and dip in at any time, you will be rewarded!
