This 2008 edition of the Christian Companion is in the usual format. A compilation of essays written by a variety of authors accompanied by many shorter pieces quoting paragraphs, prayers and poems from ancient and modern writings. The whole, makes a memorable book to read through or dip into during the coming year. The joy of these Companions is that they are readable for many years, not just the date for which they are issued. Nothing is ‘dated’ in any sense of the word. Notes at the end of each main contribution lead on to further reading if you are moved to do so.
