Discovering Holiness
A Book of Insights
by Margaret Macleod
GoodBookStall Review:
The book is dedicated to Fellow Travelers on the Way of Holiness and is a collection of insights into the spiritual life. Margaret Macleod is a laywoman who has spent her retirement putting together her thoughts on the true meaning of life and the secret of happiness. The emphasis is on repentance before the spiritual journey can begin on the road to humility, peace, love and joy. The book contains for the most part quotations from those who have made the journey and from the gospels. There are also prayers of the author herself relevant to the particular subject. The pages are illustrated throughout with simple drawings by Stephen Foster. This is essentially a simple book, undemanding theologically, but full of helpful insights and prayers that will lead to a deeper and more satisfying spiritual life.
