Best Mates

GoodBookStall Review:
If you enjoy a slightly different perspective on a biblical story of old, then you'll love this gem of a book. But be prepared not to take it all too seriously. It may not be the material of children's talks from the front of church, but it will keep your 8 - 11's chuckling to themselves for hours to come. The combination of Mark Beech's effective line drawings goes hand in hand with the slight 'grossness' of narrative that children of this age seem to enjoy! But at the same time they are stories that you will find in the Bible - if you're willing to delve a little deeper. The seven short chapters or stories can be read independently, or in one go. It certainly made me smile as I looked at some of the bible stories of Jesus in a whole new light.
