Thelma Wheelbarrow

by Patrick Coghlan

GoodBookStall Review:
Not for the first time with a book, I enjoyed this at second reading more than at the first reading and was glad I gave it another chance. Teenage twins Harry and Felicity take it into their own hands to find some land for their Dad to farm when he is made redundant and wants to try his hand at a long held dream, organic farming. Poppy Dawkins, an elderly widow, lives at Primrose farm not too far from the twin’s home. She is looking for someone to take over the running of the farm in exchange for accommodation in a mobile home. You’ve guessed it! The twin’s family move to Primrose farm and their Dad starts to live his dream. The twins still go to their old school and their Mum to her part time job. How this all works out is a good read, and far more goes on in this story than I can tell in that brief outline. Well worth reading for yourself, not least to find out who Thelma Wheelbarrow is.
Also available as an E book.
