Cut to the Chase 0.5
Funny Challenging and Straight talking for Men – Blue book
by Lee and Baz
GoodBookStall Review:
This book comes in two versions: an easy-read (red) mini-book and a longer (blue) paperback. In that spirit, I left the red book lying around and concentrated on the blue version. As a book by men for men, it casts a wry spiritual gaze on some very earthy material – from sexual fantasies to physically filthy work in a steelworks. Chapter 2 (Don’t go breaking my heart) epitomises the style – well told stories that have you in stitches and bring you close to tears before switching on an eternal light at the end. It won’t appeal to everyone – film buffs, for instance, will get more from it than bridge players – but it is full of excellent illustrations, quotations and questions for discussion groups. And the red book? My teenagers tell me it is spot on. Totally remixed version of title of same name ISBN – 978-1-860-24733-0
