A board book for a toddler or young child who can cope with quite a few words in a story, but not a fuller version. Juliet David has told this story time and time again, but still manages to bring a freshness and accuracy (as far as we know it) to what could become a tedious re-telling in less experienced hands. The rather twee doll like figures portray the scenes in a very gentle way, fitting for a very young child. I can imagine it becoming a favourite.
