This excellent series is so much more than the model of the title. As in previous books there is a beautifully illustrated history of the subject of the book, in this case the Tabernacle, as it is related in the Bible, leading up to the instruction from God to make a ‘tent of meeting’, a place where God said he would be present in a very special way. Then comes an artist’s impression of the tabernacle, its surrounds and contents and what happened within it. Following this is the story of the Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle where it is kept until the Ark was taken into a more permanent building, and the Tabernacle after its long years of service became worn out. The Ark finally being taken to the new temple in Jerusalem.
In a pocket of the back cover is the splendid model of the Tabernacle which makes up into the model shown on the front cover.
