GoodBookStall Review:
Biblical Lessons from a lifelong bird-watcher.
The accompanying DVD starts with a month’s holiday given John Stott by friends to celebrate his 70th birthday. He travelled to the Falkland Islands and then on into the Antarctic and his superb photographs accompanied by his distinctive voice giving the commentary make this an absolute delight. Following this is an audio presentation of the words in the book, again spoken by John Stott himself. No wonder this is published as a Collector’s Edition. Yet more of his own photographs appear throughout the book. He writes of his lifelong interest in birds and very quickly ties this to God the creator and the teaching of Jesus Christ. From the ‘Feeding of the Ravens: Faith’ to ‘The Breeding Cycle of all birds: Love’ the chapters lead us through continuous links of learning about our faith by observing birds of different species throughout the world.
This would make a splendid gift for any bird lover.
