I don’t think any of these pieces failed to raise a smile and some of them caused a great guffaw to burst out of me! Nothing here to offend, but a wonderful collection of mostly very short jokes that certainly raise your spirit! Some I had met many times before but they bore the repeating well, others were fresh to me and a delight to read. The trouble is, I was on my own reading this book and I would have dearly loved to bore my husband silly by reading them out one by one!
