Another book in the series of slim bible study guides based on the Cover to Cover Bible series. This series for groups with the usual format of an introduction, 7 weekly chapters (about 6 pages long) and a leader’s guide at the end. The Introduction states that the basis for the world’s pessimism is that most people have no hope and with this background christians are increasingly looking to scriptures which speak of Jesus second coming as they balance their faith with global threats of war, famine and the depletion of our natural resources. The premise of the studies is simply that Jesus will return and we need to be ready. As with all CWR material there is a strong emphasis on Biblical reliability, it is thorough and thoughtful. Unlike more ‘straight forward’ Bible Study series, this would be best suited for a group that has battled with the basics of the Christian faith and has a leader who is comfortable with controversy, and experienced in preparing and guiding a group.
