Being a War Child myself I was immediately attracted to this book, but I was brought up in the country and was sheltered from much of what Maurine Murchison retells so vividly. Each short chapter starts with her particular memory which she then uses to lead into relevant Bible teaching and the reference to find the story in the Bible to read for yourself.
