GoodBookStall Review:
I’ve been a ‘born again’ for 17 years now, Christened twice as a baby! And went to a CofE school with assemblies and then restarted my life as a Christian at university through a ‘Just Looking’ course and then ‘Alpha’ and later on deepened my knowledge with ‘Word Plus’. Without that solid foundation and being able to fully explore what it was to be a Christian I don’t think that I would have weathered the test of time – what with all life has thrown at me. This book is ideal for anyone who has been bimbling along in life declaring they are a Christian but maybe haven’t got a full grasp of it. Even for me 17 years on I still found this book useful. It is so easy to forget what we commit to and what Christ offers.
I really liked the way this book is laid out, 5 short chapters- the 5 Bs, all jigsaw pieces to God’s great plan for your salvation. I loved the real life extracts where you can always associate either yourself or someone you know and I found the questions for reflection at the end of each chapter a positive input and not challenging at all.
Allow this book to be a real blessing to anyone who wants their relationship with God and his church to be enriched just by taking us through the basics again. Believing, Belonging, Behaving, Baptism and Born Again.
