Families With Faith
Survival Skills for Christian parents
by Richard Patterson
GoodBookStall Review:
This book is not a complex theological study on the godly household.
Families With Faith was easy reading at the end of a busy day and is reassuringly realistic. Patterson doesn’t insist on daily bible study around the table necessarily, but he does inspire with practical ideas about living your beliefs as a family and about how to nurture faith in your children. There are interesting sections on creating a ‘family Sabbath day’. ‘Discipline as discipling’ and ‘making family memories’. Each chapter has questions for reflection and so could also be used as group study text. It’s not a heavy book and Patterson frequently suggests families need to prioritise having fun, as well as faith, together in order to create strong family bonds and secure happy children.
