The Empty Cross of Jesus
Seeing the Cross in the light of the Resurrection
by Michael Green
GoodBookStall Review:
A really brilliant book crammed with theological jewels. Michael Green examines the theology of the cross and resurrection from the early Christian and secular viewpoint up to the present day. This is not a stuffy academic book for the scholarly few, but accessible to anyone wanting to delve into the meaning of the cross. It is also a very relevant book as Michael Green constantly refers the reader to present day thought, and problems, including chapters on discipleship, counselling, and the importance of simplicity in expounding the theology of the gospel, which is something he does very well. This is a book to be read slowly so that its jewels can be appreciated.
