Instead of bringing out Messy Church 3, the team have produced a craft manual and a food manual. This is a helpful move, meaning that the right book can be put into the hands of the right person on your team!
This book contains a good spread of basic recipes including shepherd’s pie, pasta bolognaise, beef casserole, chicken casserole, chocolate pudding, apple crumble, fruit pavlova and jelly whip.
There is also a lovely selection of food related messy ideas such as stained glass window biscuits, Holy Communion jellies, Joseph’s coat cakes and empty tomb rolls.
Aside from Messy Church, this would be a good starter book for older children who are learning to cook basic meals. The recipes all serve a family of 4-5 people.
