This book should be read by all who seek to help children connect to God. It challenges the tradition of just ensuring children are ‘God-smart’ and offers a proactive approach to discipling children for spiritual development, suggesting practical ways to encourage them to pray personally, individually as well as within a group. Parents are reminded to create windows for their children to see their faith in practice through the spiritual disciplines they follow, thus enabling them to see and hear what they have been told (tying together truth and experience). The ‘catching’ prayer framework is inspiring and helpful. A refreshingly ‘real’ approach to prayer that all adults could do well to reflect upon once again.
