GoodBookStall Review:
Based on the Bible readings from the Revised Common Lectionary, the book suggests ways in which children can engage creatively with the story at home, or in midweek groups and clubs, by exploring themes from the Gospels and preparing for the DSunday worship of their local church. This is achieved using very simple visual items, including a story cloth and card figures, to give an ongoing focus and bring the story to life. Publisher
A photocopiable resource for use year after year as there is provision for Years A, B & C.
In BRF’s customary thorough way, this resource can be used following the guidance given in the sure knowledge that everything has been tried and tested and found good. That still leaves scope for using the resource in ways to suit your local need. Whether used daily or weekly through advent, children and adults will learn and enjoy through this way of telling the familiar story. I even sang through some of the songs to myself – just to test that the words really did fit, and of course they did!
