GoodBookStall Review:
An unusual story that kept me intrigued as to how it could possibly end satisfactorily – but it does!
J.D. as he was always known and his wife Karlie had been teenage sweethearts, and after college returned to their home town of Hanson, North Carolina, USA where they opened a restaurant soon followed by another. At one of these they have a problem. Money is disappearing and it can only be an employee who is to blame.
Their only child, a daughter has recently left home for college and J.Ds mother lives in a Home not far away.
J.D. relaxes by driving off into the countryside with no particular destination and it is on one of these trips that he runs out of petrol near the One Lane Bridge of the title.
From this moment on the story takes a surreal turn. J.D. finds himself in a time warp. The nearby house he goes to for help is not there when he returns to show his wife, nor is the one lane bridge.......... I’m not telling you more – but promise you a good read.
