A really fun book regardless of your age. Olivia the main character is approaching 50 and she hates her birthdays at the best of times, as most of them have been tainted and ruined by some catastrophe. Determined that this time, as she turns 50, she is going to hide away till the day is over and change her streak of bad luck, though God and her best friend, Hallie have other ideas.
Hallie arranges for Liv to escape the snowy Ohio winter and go stay at her mum’s place in Florida whilst her mum comes to Ohio. En route on the plane things are already looking up as she meets a handsome man who makes her heart flutter but can that be right at her age…? You’ll just have to read and find out.
Packed with laughter and amusing antics this book will have you chuckling away. The only thing that would have made it better for me would have been a clearer physical description of Olivia, as I found it difficult to picture her size.
