A Christmas story destined to become a classic. That was my first response after reading this book. Set at a time in the future when Christians are forbidden to speak of their faith, and Christmas has become just a ‘Holiday’ during which presents are exchanged, a young boy is given a precious old drum, and learns about the birth of Jesus, and the carol ‘The Little Drummer Boy’. He feels a compulsion to play the drum for Jesus, and the result is glorious and had me humming the tune for days.
