The New Creationism

Building Scientific Theories on a Biblical Foundation

by Paul Garner

GoodBookStall Review:
“Successful theories in cosmology, geology and biology can be constructed on the basis of what Scripture reveals” (p 240). For Paul Garner this is a 6-day creation around 6,000 years ago, although he notes that Creationists have lacked the resources and effort to produce a complete set of alternative models to the prevailing view. Nonetheless, he presents important mainstream theories and offers Creationist alternatives. It is an eloquent and compact summary with some interesting ideas on time-dilation and catastrophic plate tectonics.
The book is controversial in content, if not in style. Some will love it, while others may want more on extracting scientific models from the pages of Scripture or lament the lack of bridges to the mainstream literature. Many will be intrigued at some stage. Over to you…
