This is a small book but it is packed with interest. In it David Marshall examines in detail the Nicene Creed which millions of Christians throughout the world repeat every Sunday. The Creed is a summary and distillation of what Christians have for sixteen centuries believed about the nature of God and of His purposes for our world and for ourselves. Every phrase of the Creed is analysed and commented upon and much of what Marshall explains gives us a fresh insight into familiar ideas. This is an excellent book for private study, but it can also be used to stimulate group discussion and guidelines for this are included.
