Take Heart
Expand Your Vision of God
by Timothy J Buckley C.Ss.R
GoodBookStall Review:
The book is divided into many short sections in which Buckley examines, among other topics, the scriptures and how to read them, the fall and salvation, prayer, confession, reconciliation and forgiveness, looking all the time for connections and ways of putting fresh heart into our seeking after fulfilment. He faces up to the undisputed fact that there is a decline in churchgoing and in the numbers of those wanting to work for and in the church, but he insists that the Gospel’s message is more relevant in today’s secular age, with its challenges and pressures, and still gives meaning to the whole of our lives. Although Timothy Buckley is a Redemptorist priest, he is committed to ecumenism and addresses all Christians of whatever persuasion. Written in an uncomplicated and familiar style, this is a book to return to for further reflection and meditation.
