3:16 – The Numbers of Hope

by Max Lucado

GoodBookStall Review:
Lucado's enthusiasm for this key Bible verse is impressive. In focusing on single words in each of his short chapters he explains the gospel of free salvation in a vivid and gripping way. The contemporary illustrations, American idiom, exaggeration and simile express an urgency for the reader to take God's offer seriously. It is a gift and can't be earned; the reader must accept the simplicity of it and believe in Jesus and not self. This book is thus appropriate for Christians who have not properly availed themselves of God's free grace. It ends with 40 short devotions focused on Jesus through the gospels.
