GoodBookStall Review:
I warmed to this book from the opening pages of the introduction. I like authors who write out of the depth of their own experience and Tri Robinson certainly does that. He is both a farmer and a pastor, with a genuine concern to integrate both callings. One day when he was preparing to preach on the parable of the sower, he found it leapt off the page and into his life in a new way. The desire to grow a big church simply for growth's sake left him, and he experienced a new hunger to minister deeply to people and build a relevant, culture-changing church where Christians translated grace and mercy into real life. The pages that follow are full of stories - more parables - which compare our life and walk with Jesus to the seed nestling into the good soil, taking root and growing to maturity. It is not a 'quick-fix' book, but will give you many helpful guidelines to help you persevere as a disciple of Jesus.
