GoodBookStall Review:
Based upon a true story from the 1800’s, this book keeps you on the edge of your seat. As I began reading The Deepest Waters I found I couldn’t put it down and the more I read, the more I fell in love with the characters of the story.
It’s first a story of love, love that overcomes everything, every evil, every harm, and love that reminds us of hope and one that will never die. This book follows a married couple on a ship that sinks, they become separated with only enough life boats and light to get the women and children to safety, the men are left to die. However God’s hand is upon these people, and the faithful husband holds on in faith that he will see his wife again when a boat comes to rescue him. Then there is the faithful Micah, a slave to the captain of the ship that saved the women. Micah’s faith in God is stunning in the midst of adversity and because of his faithfulness God turns this man’s life around and gives him more than he could ever hope for.
This book is a novel but it is inspirational, spiritual and totally miraculous. I would truly put this alongside those of Jane Austin & Thomas Hardy due to the depth of the book and how much the reader can take from it.
