GoodBookStall Review:
The story of Grace, her family and friends continues, with the family still distraught at the departure of Grace’s mother. Although we know why she left, and what she has been doing, the family do not and Grace is determined to find her and persuade her to come home. Grandmother, who knows about the past, is at last prepared to give Grace a phone number that might help. Alongside this strand of the story is Grace’s non-existent love life – or is it; the ‘Englisher’ Heather’s fight against her cancer, and her father’s plans to settle in the Amish countryside, and of course what mother is doing and where she is. We shall have to wait for The Telling to have all these matters resolved. Not long to wait, it is due out in May 2010.
