GoodBookStall Review:
A sequel to The Watchers, and I would strongly recommend you read that before starting The Warriors. I read this one first and found myself initially frustrated by lack of knowledge about the characters and their previous adventures. While the back story is eventually penciled in, much of the characterisation is done in book one, which leaves the reader with a feeling of trailing round after complete strangers in the first few chapters. That said, this is another good story, expanding on the themes of The Watchers – the brutal reality of Spiritual warfare and the power of a Spiritual lineage stretching back through the generations. The author is at his best in the action and chase sequences, and an interesting debate runs throughout concerning the use of earthly battle tactics in God’s service. Another enjoyable book. A pity there is no further title in this series planned.
