The Tale of Three Trees

A Traditional Folktale

Retold by Angela Elwell Hunt

GoodBookStall Review:
This latest edition of an old favourite, will hopefully come fresh to yet another generation of children between 5 and 10 years old. Beautifully illustrated by Tim Jonke and first published in this telling in 1989, it has remained in different formats all these years.
Three trees in the forest dream of what they would like to become when their wood is harvested. One wants to hold treasure, another to be a fine sailing ship and the third wants to stay and grow into the tallest of trees for people to look up to. Each gets their wish but not in the way they thought.
