I really liked this. It’s about nature and how we can use God to connect to nature. The author Margaret Silf is obviously a person who is truly in touch with nature, and uses it to get closer to God. It's packed with useful quotations and advice on how to live your life in harmony with nature. There's a quotation suggesting that nature makes it possible to ponder the mysteries of a person's existence. It's the sort of book to take to a nature retreat, or to the mountains, and there is also an implication that we need to use God's beautiful natural resources wisely. It's designed to not be the sort of book that you read from beginning to finish, but you can open a page - and whichever page you open, it will be good for the soul. This book can be taken extremely literally, or on a more allegorical note. For example, there is one page which dwells on time for grieving, and that's about your own personal inner cave as much as discovering the caves that Margaret Silf experienced in the Peak District and South Africa. The photography is beautiful and the book is a wonderful description of how to use God's treasure trove to get in touch with the soul.
