Celtic Wisdom
Treasures From Ireland
by Cindy Thomson
GoodBookStall Review:
This book, subtitled Treasures from Ireland, is an account of the principal saints of Celtic Ireland - Patrick, Brigid, Columba, and the Apostles of Erin, and of “how the ancient Irish found the Christian path.” Brief life stories of the above saints are given together with their legacy and some of their meditations and prayers. This is followed by chapters on Celtic learning and art and on Celtic prayer. Much is made of the distinctive origin and development of Celtic Christianity and of its legacy to the world. There are many beautiful illustrations and the whole is an informative introduction to Celtic Ireland and its ancient wisdom.
