The Lion Encyclopedia of World Religions
by David Self
GoodBookStall Review:
This encyclopedia concentrates on the main faiths held throughout the world but has pages introducing the beliefs of less well known faiths such as Shinto and Rastafarians which are really helpful. I found reading through these pages was very worthwhile as I was surprised at how much I had not known of the details of belief, scriptures, customs and traditions of the various faiths. With its liberal use of excellent photographs and the usual attractive layout we expect from Lion, this is a book for home, school and library that will help children and adults alike.
