GoodBookStall Review:
This contribution to the debate about Christian initiation in the Church of England, coming as it does from the recently founded Faith and Order Commission will be yet another step on a very long road. The word ‘journey’ in the title of this collection of essays by five different authors, rather gives the game away as to where the FAOC sees the debate going in the coming years. As Bishop Hind in his introduction points out, there is much emphasis here on the ecumenical dimensions of the issues discussed. One impression did stick in the mind, and that was that confirmation appears to be higher on the agenda than in recent years. Developments are to be expected.
