GoodBookStall Review:
Tweenagers (essentially 8-12 year olds) are a challenging group to work with, wanting to distinguish themselves from the kids, but not yet old enough to join the teenagers. This book is *not* going to provide for your every need: definitely a case of 'does what it says on the tin', it provides photocopiable activity sheets on various themes. If that's the kind of thing your group is into, this is a great resource, packed with word games, blanks to fill, puzzles, codes, etc. If you're looking for starter activities which are serene, don't generate mess, and essentially keep them all relatively quiet for five minutes, head for this book. Those who prefer a more energetic, game-based approach will need to look elsewhere for inspiration!
