GoodBookStall Review:
At first glance one wonders how such a rich, controversial and broad subject as Christology can yield such a slim book (131 pages including indexes). In many ways, however, the brevity is the book's strength as there is no sense of being daunted by inches of pages to wade through. This is a book which stands a good chance of being read!
The readings come from a broad range of authors and represent key thinkers throughout the Christian era. They cover all the issues one would expect to find in an undergraduate course of Christology, from the debates within the first centuries to contemporary debates surrounding the theologies of liberation, feminism and universalism.
Also included are useful suggestions for further readings and some questions for reflection.
This book will prove useful to those studying theology, but it is not too much to hope that it might attract a wider readership. There is no substitute to reading primary sources, and this book makes that task a little easier.
