Sir Barry Salt has three employees, Vincent, Phil and biscuit loving Brian. They are portrayed on this DVD very simply but effectively with just basic shapes but with amazingly expressive eyes, eyebrows and mouths and the addition of a few props. The result is entertaining and fascinating to watch. These four main characters are joined by others to tell simple stories relating to various parables Jesus told. Together with the free teaching pack downloadable from www.taylormation.co.uk, this DVD makes a delightful way to not only teach children a moral lesson but introduce them in a very novel way to Bible stories that these days they may not know. Intended for church or school use, Key Stages 1/2 , this DVD and the first Parables are highly recommended. I watched originally with two of my grandchildren aged 10 and 12 who were sad when I took the DVD away to write up this review, I shall have to take it back to them!
The first Parables sold out completely after winning the CBC Gold Award for 'Best Christian Children's Programme' 2010, but is now back in stock. I’m sure this one will do as well.
