GoodBookStall Review:
A little book but it has left a big impression on me. So much so that I have had China in my thoughts and prayers continually since reading it, and have spoken about it to whoever would listen! Very simply and straightforwardly, Roland Evans describes a brief impression of modern China, and then walks into the absolute squalor and poverty which is just down the road, with all its despair and misery, then on into the countryside to a Christian gathering, necessarily in great secrecy. Each glimpse of the different Chinas rouses our emotions, and through it all shines Rowland Evan’s love for the all the people of China as they struggle to emerge into our twentieth century world.
