A Need for Living
Signposts on the journey of life and beyond
by Tom Gordon
GoodBookStall Review:
These words are “not offered as a definitive interpretation of spiritual care, it is simply offered as a set of reflections to be shared and talked about, to be changed and made use of.” This is another title where I have been enthralled from start to finish, enjoying the authors word pictures and stories of those he has met in the Hospice where he is Chaplain. His poems and prayers between chapters, put into words what so many of the dying and their carers would be unable to express for themselves. This is a book which stresses the worth of all, Christian and non-Christian alike. As Chaplain, he sees his job as responding to patient’s spirituality, regardless if they are religious or not. Well worth reading.
