A Journey With Jonah
The Spirituality of Bewilderment
by Paul Murray OP
GoodBookStall Review:
Paul Murray claims that the tiny Book of Jonah is the most profoundly Christian of all the books in the Hebrew Bible, and the book from which we have most to learn at the beginning of this new millennium. The full text of the Book of Jonah at the end of this book, is taken from the New American Bible. In this meditation, the many references to other writers only highlights the fascination Jonah has held for people throughout the ages. I started reading this book with little enthusiasm, but continued to the end, intrigued by the author’s thinking, and finding my own thoughts drifting back to what he has to say.
