GoodBookStall Review:
The book Charla’s Children was published by Bethany House in 1981 and told the story of the work that Chuck and Charla Pereau from Los Angeles had become involved with following an incident way back in 1961. All these years later that work has grown beyond their wildest imaginings and this book tells how, by following God’s guidance at every turn, amazing things have been achieved, always in ‘His’ name. An enthralling book, one I found hard to put down, and sorry when I reached the end. Stories of individuals, of appalling hardship and suffering, the building of a Medical Clinic, facilities for Child birth, outreach to surrounding isolated areas and so much more. Of course the work goes on and only God knows what the future will be, and who next will be led to serve here in some capacity.
