True Grit
Women Taking on the World, for God’s Sake
by Deborah Meroff
GoodBookStall Review:
This book is full of inspiring true stories of women showing remarkable courage in the face of seemingly overwhelming difficulties, winning through with God’s help and guidance. These are interspersed with lists of relevant Vital Statistics that I found absolutely horrific, and difficult to take in. So much so that I read a story, then the following Vital Statistics and had to stop to pray. For anyone interested in the lot of women the world over, not just in the third world countries that we westerners might suppose, this is essential reading that then demands action, not least prayer. Appendix 2 has a list of organisations working in this field, and contact details.
