Overcoming Obstacles to Missions Involvement

At a student mission attended by young people from over eighty countries, to help college students find out how and where they could get involved in worldwide mission, students were encouraged to write on a long blank space whatever was in their hearts. The words they wrote made such an impact on the organisers that the ‘wall’ was reassembled at Operation Mobilisation’s USA headquarters and Kathy Hicks felt impelled to create a book out of these writings that could be shared around the world. Out of the 700 entries filling the twelve foot by eight foot wall, and by grouping the prayers, confessions and statements under headings such as ‘General Fear’, 'Desire to stay in my comfort zone', 'Lack of faith in God', and many others, Kathy has written a book full of encouragement and stories of fulfilment. From the students doubts and fears has come a book of inspiration.
