Creating Space For Strangers

Thinking afresh about mission and the Church

by David Evans

GoodBookStall Review:
Creating Space for Strangers carries a needed challenge to today's church. To step outside the four walls of the building and to be Christ in the community. Filled with examples from both the UK and the Third World, this book aims to encourage this creation of space. It is these examples though, which give the book its greatest weakness. The illustrations from the UK are mainly from inner city London, Liverpool and Tyneside. The rural illustrations are from Cambodia and Uganda. There is little for those who live in rural villages and dormitory communities. Even so there is much in this book that should be helpful to church leaders from all denominations.
