This book is unusual in that it addresses certain issues by choosing stories from the Bible where children are featured, all encountering varying difficulties. These can be read aloud to children under seven or read alone by children of eight or over. Twelve stories, twelve groups of issues addressed, twelve children who do not all readily spring to mind. Ishmael, Gershom, Elijah Junior, Jonathan and others are given voices and feelings that we normally overlook. Adults too can learn from the re-telling of these Bible stories, they open a new window on what is happening in each.
