Church at the Edge
Exploring New Ways of Being Church
by Jeanne Hinton
GoodBookStall Review:
For all of us who have been part of the established church for many, many years, this book may provide some refreshing insights into new ways of worship, nothing way out, nothing over the top, but ways of renewal and refreshment. It is not an anti-institution book, nor meant to be anything but an exploration of the church in finding new ways of meeting and praying with others. The basis is Celtic spirituality, the creative daily prayer of those used to combining prayer with their daily lives, of praising God for the small things in life and the ordinary way we live. The content is drawn from the experience of those in a worship group, the development of their actions and thoughts, the experience they wish to share with others. This is not theory but praxis of the highest order and experience drawn on wisdom, a fascinating book to read as the story unfolds and plans are laid for the future.
