Valley of the Shadow
A True Story of love, separation, survival and faith amid the tragedy of war-torn Africa
by Margaret Gee with George and Lydia
GoodBookStall Review:
What a story! I find it hard to put into words my emotions as I read this book. The sub-title says it all, but the detail in the book brought me a fresh understanding of what so many of our fellow human beings are suffering. The stories of George and Lydia are told from their separation in Burundi, to their miraculous re-union in Britain. It must have been a mammoth task to edit the full story down to this readable size, so much has happened to them, a separate book could be written about each stage of their lives.
