Passion For Your name
Resourcing Worship Leaders-Refreshing Worshippers
by Tim Hughes
GoodBookStall Review:
The title Passion for Your Name does indeed reveal the passion Tim Hughes has for worship. The first half of the book gives reasons for worship and how to encounter the living God in worship. It is written from the heart and in a very pleasant style with both humour and sensitivity. The second half of the book is a much more practical guide to leading worship it includes: the importance of a focus on scripture, choosing a group, choosing songs, musical dynamics and writing songs and lyrics. Tim writes 'the gift of music helps us in our expression of worship. We obviously need to be careful not to manipulate people through music or allow it to cloud our focus on God, but there is a responsibility for us to use music to the best of our ability to glorify Him'. This book will help any congregation and any aspiring worship leader to do just that.
