Special Services for Advent and Christmas
by Susan Hardwick
GoodBookStall Review:
At such a special time of the year, it is important to find a refreshing way to present Advent and Christmas to a congregation. Whilst this book doesn’t offer anything surprising, it does offer structured outlines for services for ‘all age’, teenagers, children, and even a Christingle service. A fair amount of preparation is needed by anyone attempting to use these resources, but I would recommend the effort. So often at this time of the year services are too familiar and result in being uninspiring and sometimes, dare I say it, dull! But here is a resource which can help offer different ways at ‘getting the message’ out – without compromising the subtext of Advent and Christmas.
